The goal of the assessment

The main focus of the assessment was on what impact the Audit Committee’s recommendations from the 2020 assessment report have had. The 2021 assessment report addressed 14 assessment topics and presented 48 recommendations.

Conclusions

Ninety-four per cent of the recommendations in the Audit Committee’s 2021 assessment report had been followed by the divisions, either partially or fully. Up to 69% of the recommendations have had positive effects.

For example, as recommended by the Audit Committee, digital security and business friendliness have been promoted, access to oral health care has been improved, and the pathway from hospital treatment to housing for people in mental health rehabilitation has been improved significantly. The time spent on client work in home care for older adults has been increased, and emergency room visits have been reduced with the Mobile Nurse service.
