Assessment of the effectiveness of recommendations issued by the Audit Committee in 2023
Measures have been taken on all of the recommendations presented in the 2023 assessment report.

The goal of the assessment
The main questions of the assessment were which of the measures recommended in the Audit Committee’s 2023 assessment report have been taken by Central Administration and City divisions and what impact have these measures had? The assessment report for 2023 covered 13 areas of assessment and included 46 recommendations.
Conclusions
Measures had been taken on all of the recommendations presented in the Audit Committee’s 2023 assessment report. There have been positive effects in 39 per cent of the recommendations. In line with the recommendations of the Audit Committee, the winter maintenance of footpaths and cycle paths has been harmonised, and the emergency services are updating their plans for emptying defence shelters, for example. In addition to this, the attractiveness of libraries has been improved, cultural services have promoted access to new types of grants, social guidance for families with children has improved the division of labour in the assessment of service needs, and substance abuse services have improved access to treatment to prevent drug-related deaths.
